Don't put ketchup on BBQ brisket. It could get you shot. Also, don't ask for red kidney beans in your chili and make sure you take the husk off of tamales before eating them. Remember, that is NOT tomato preserves in that bowl on the table.

Use common sense when it comes to safety. Dark and deserted areas are just as risky here as anywhere else. Don't flash large amounts of money. Don't look vunerable. San Antonio is as safe as most other places, but you can become a target of crime anywhere.

Don't squat while wearing spurs.

Dallas has THE ONLY pro football team.

San Antonians really don't care how you do it 'back home', so don't tell them about it.

If there is something here you don't like, don't cut it down or complain about it. Remember, you don't have to be here.

Some restaurants have opted not to serve up two Texas born soft drinks. There is one in paticular that serves up Texas barbeque and decorates its establishments in a Texas theme, but thinks in a yankee way. You won't find Dr. Pepper or Big Red here. Instead you have to settle for Mr. Pibb and Cima Red. Not very Texas friendly. Bill is the guy that started this chain and his name is on all of the restaurants. He also puts his name on his seafood restaurants. I choose to boycott these places and encourage all to do the same until they show their loyalty to the Great State of Texas.

More to come...
